We had 127 registered pullers at this years event. A huge success, thanks to all of you who participated and came to watch!!

Here it is the day of......

Beautiful weather, track looks good (better bring the power). I think we are ready. Let's start rolling them in and have a great day of pulling!!!!

Gas Modified 4x4 class

6200# SS trucks meeting the Thumb rules for that class are allowed to hook in the 6200# Modified Street BB Gas class with the following exceptions.
If you weigh 6200# you must not exceed 23" hitch height OR
If you weigh 5700# you must not exceed 26" hitch height

This will still be a points hook for MTTP, we will assign points based on how the places are per the MTTP trucks.

Diesel Truck Rules

I know there has been a lot of controversy about the rules for these classes. After talking with many of the pullers involved we, as a group, have decided to run the rules as follows. This has been a painstaking adventure, we have created a whole new set of rules in detail for different classes and decided NOT to use them this year. We have decided for this year to run the rules below. Our motive all along has been to try to create some classes which fit the most amount of possibly interested trucks without making too many enemies. If there is any issues with these finalized rules please contact either myself, Eric, Tim, or Glenn.
We want this to be as large of an event as we can in total dedication to Greg VanHouten and his family.

Antique Tractor Rules

For questions on the Antique tractor classes please call Tim Rydall at 616 835 3440. The Rydalls will be answering any questions along with technical inspections the day of the pull and all final decisions will be by consent of Tim and Harold Rydall and the GVMTTP staff.

2009 Greg VanHouten Truck & Tractor Pull

Kent City Truck & Tractor Pull 2009

About another week and we will be half way to the next one.

Sounds like we are looking at the 12th of September. Will verify as we get closer.

Any ideas to make this year better? (other than no rain?)

I think we are going to try to get a couple semi classes.

Sounds like it may end up being a points pull for the club (MFSTPA).
